A kinematic reconstruction of Iberia using intracontinental strike‐slip corridors

نویسندگان

چکیده

Despite considerable progress in restoring rifted margins, none of the current kinematic models can restore Mesozoic motion Iberian block full agreement with circum-Iberian geology. This conflict requires a revision description at onset divergence. The region has unique geological dataset that allows calibration and testing reconstructions therefore it is an ideal candidate for intracontinental restoration approaches. Here we define deforming regions, referred to as strike-slip corridors, based on alignments rift basins and/or transfer zones bordering rigid continental blocks. We use these corridors data from southern N-Atlantic Tethys path Flemish Cap, Ebro Iberia resulting model compatible recently published interpretations describing Large-scale may offer valid boundary condition reconstructing divergence settings.

Reconstruction of Kinematic Surfaces from Scattered Data ∗

Given a surface in 3-space or scattered points from a surface, we present algorithms for fitting the data by a surface which can be generated by a one–parameter subgroup of the group of similarities. These surfaces are general cones and cylinders, surfaces of revolution, helical surfaces and spiral surfaces.

Solution of Inverse Kinematic Problem of a 2DOF Robot Using Decomposition Method

The inverse kinematics problem of a two degree of freedom (2DOF) planar robot arms issolved using Adomian’s decomposition method (ADM), after converting to a system of twononlinear algebraic equations. The advantage of the method is that it gives the solutions asfunctions of the desired position of the end effecter and the length of the arms. The accuracyof the solutions can be increased up to ...

Path Planning using Corridors and its Applications

In this paper we present a novel approach to path planning. The approach first plans a corridor with a backbone path which is obstacle free. This corridor is then used to generate a path for the character. Because the corridor around the backbone is obstacle free any path inside the corridor is also collision free. The planning of the backbone path can be done by any existing path planning appr...

assessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea

data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...

Lithospheric folding in Iberia

[1] Integration of stress indicator data, gravity data, crustal kinematics data, and analysis of topography and recent vertical motions demonstrates the occurrence of consistently oriented spatial patterns of large-scale Alpine to recent intraplate deformation in Iberia. The inferred upper crustal and lithospheric deformation patterns and the timing of the associated expressions at or near the ...
